And you Sir are absolutely certain that you are right? Faith is something that we all have in common in the sense that we all believe we can achieve something that we have yet to achieve – and any “religion” based on an absolute certainty is absolutely faithful to its contention. The problem with religion is not found in and of itself, it is the people who “demand” that everyone else believe what they believe. This was never the desire of God or Jesus however it is the desire of the doctrine of man. God and Jesus allow everyone to choose. Man has distorted this truth and thus the hatred in religion. I choose to believe as I choose to believe and you have every right to believe as you choose. Now let’s choose to allow others to have a choice and not let the media polarize/separate us with stories of religious fanatics. Oddly enough the Judean/Christian God states that He is a jealous God but still gives you the option to not believe in him so what is man to deny another man to not believe in what he desires?
Mr. Condon, you have chosen to not believe and that is your prerogative but you do not help the matter when you insinuate that those who choose to believe as they do are similar to drug addicts because they choose to believe something different from yourself. No Mr. Condon, you have not helped matters at all.
Life is a choice and I choose to love all – even those who choose to be different from myself and it would benefit society as a whole if you would allow others to do the same.
