I live in Arizona and I know firsthand what illegal immigrants are doing to the country. They are filling our neighborhoods with crime, they are filling our jails, they are putting our hospitals out of business because they can’t pay for all the lil’ citizens they bare, they are filling our welfare rolls (yep, they can get welfare-it’s illegal to ask them about their immigration status. That’s why all the welfare forms and posters are in both english and SPANISH!), they are burdening our schools to breaking point, they are taking jobs (with our HUGE wages) away from Americans by the hundreds of thousands. They have turned Phoenix, Arizona into the #2 kidnapping capital IN THE WORLD! Our border towns are ravaged. The Mexican military has made countless incursions into our territory (never see ‘em on the news…there is no conspiracy by the media though). They boast of “reconquista” and how they will kick out all non-Hispanics from the Southwest. Look up some facts about “La Raza (THE RACE)” whose motto is “for those in the race, everything-for those outside the race, nothing”. All this sounds pretty racist, huh?
Oh, for all those “Reconquistas” out there-the Southwest belonged to the Apache, Navaho, Pima, etc. before Mexico declared their lands to be hers, and these natives don’t like or trust you. They don’t want to become part of “Aztlan”. Furthermore, when the U.S. took the Southwest from Mexico, the U.S. didn’t kick anyone out: the Mexicans that were here became Americans. Your ancestors are from MEXICO, so don’t pretend that you are returning to some long lost homeland or that you hold some moral high ground. Got it?
Dear Zemens never asks WHY Mexicans are poor. He just assumes that they are and will remain so. Mexico has abundant natural resources (Taiwan and Japan would be sooooo envious), I suggest that you utilize them. Have a revolution, if necessary. My message to Mexicans is: solve your own problems; don’t come here, we have enough problems of our own.

Although most people here seem to disagree with the Arizona law, was it not a federal law (government intervention) first/foremost and then adopted into the state as a matter of dissatisfaction with the enforcement of it by federal authorities?

Humanitarian leadership is needed to help address this, yet protection of private property (land owners by the border) is the typically left out of the equation when discussing border issues.

Why dont you try coming from the south and cross into Mexico and see what happens..
