Butler Shaffer writes:
I wonder how many of the Republican faithful — who now wring their hands over the enactment of Obama’s “health care” measure — understand how their unprincipled and mindless defense of George W. Bush’s war-making, empire-building, and crony-capitalism was responsible for the Democrats getting swept into power in Washington?
Good point.

Especially Boehner. Expansion of big government wasn’t evil when it Bush & Co.
That’s why I’ve no use for either party. Flip sides of the same coin. It’s all “Look at the monkey!” nonsense that keeps working on the average American idiot.
I shouldn’t admit this, I guess, but I no longer vote. More and more people are starting to feel the same way I do. First, we’re deeply suspicious that this nation now routinely engages in premeditated voter fraud. We suspect that if NO ONE voted, the candidate-select would still win by a landslide! Second, we’re sick to death of having to choose between the lesser of two evils. Two evils is still TWO evils. Can’t we have some real choice? No.
NO. TPTB are running an agenda, and they will attain their goals no matter what we do, even if it’s over our dead bodies. Which, to their way of thinking, is preferable. We protest, they declare martial law and arrest, torture and kill us. We don’t and remain passive sheep — they quietly, efficiently, at their leisure, arrest, torture and kill us. It’ll just take a little longer. It’s a win-win for them.
Just call me a cynical, pessimistic, glass half-empty sort. But I’ve yet to be wrong about these things.
Don’t worry about being pessimistic Lavender. Half the people in the nation are pessimistic right now and the other half are in lala land drinking Koolaid.
