30 million have coverage when previously they didn’t.
those 30 million are better off. that’s “a good thing”.
And “pre-existing conditions” are no longer a way to rip people off and prevent them gaining healthcare.
A civilised society can do no less.

What would you say to the 30 million who are now covered by legislation you oppose?
I’d say: So all of a sudden you can afford, on average: $550/mo premium (& that’s WITH your employer picking up part of the tab!); $8000 deductible per person, per year — don’t get injured in December; 30% co-pays; no drug, dental, or vision coverage? Because THAT’S what health insurance offers to most clients! Others apparently, such as you, who don’t have it don’t seem to understand that. But THIS is what Obamacare has now MANDATED you to buy.
Remember, MOST of the “cost controls” were stripped out of the bill. Also remember, medical costs are the NUMBER 1 cause of bankruptcy in the US! Under this bill, that is NOT going to change!
I assume you can’t afford HC now. Despite promises of subsidies, you won’t be able to afford it under Obamacare, either. There are loopholes hidden in that 2,000+ page monster that you could fly a jumbo jet through. Among them most likely is the loophole where YOU don’t qualify for a subsidy! Guess what? TS! Buy insurance or pay fines & penalties, perhaps even face jail!
What part of, “The IRS is administering this law” do you not get?! You LIKE and trust the IRS? OK . . . proof you don’t work and pay taxes.
You — and the underprivileged, poor, oppressed, huddled masses — WILL NOT HAVE HEALTH CARE, I don’t care what they’ve promised you. Here’s a quote from my grandfather, a very wise man, for you to consider: “Read a piece of legislation in it’s entirety, not just the headlines, boldface and bullets. You will inevitably find what they’ve given you at the beginning, they’ve stripped away by the end, and then some.” What do you suppose they’ve stripped away in those 2,000+ hen house pages written by foxes?
You don’t find the extremes they went to, to force this law onto the books, suspicious? You don’t find that its 2,700 turgid pages of unreadable legalese suspicious? You don’t find the mandate unconstitutional and suspicious? You don’t find the fact the IRS is in charge of monitoring coverage and collecting fines — and remember, under IRS codes, YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL YOU PROVE YOURSELF INNOCENT!!!! — suspicious? No?!
All you see is, “NOW I GOTS ME SOME HEALTH CARE! All those people against HCR are against ME and are selfish!”
You’ll find out the hard way. When you finally do, I will NOT be magnanimous, ’cause I’m too ticked off by your stupidity and greed; your willingness to torch the constitution for your own “profit”, little good it’ll do you. I WILL say, “I TOLD YOU SO!” It’s the only small comfort I’ll have left.

Now that we have been sold to the insurance companies that have been given their monopoly (read: racket) and guaranteed market (enrollment enforced by thugs financed by us), I am left wondering what will be the next group of companies to step up to the feeding trough and use congress and the executive branch to force us to buy their defective product.
At what point do we realize that government acts exactly like organized crime syndicates?
Do they solicit, with the implied threat of force, money for providing “security” while creating an environment of insecurity?
Do they promise justice while dispensing the opposite?
Do they do whatever they please with the money they have taken from us, all the time pretending that they are using it for the common good?
Do they use violence and force to eliminate any competition or competitive ideology?
Do they use the money and resources taken from us to expand their empire through violence, murder and bribes?
Do they promote vices while taking money from us with the pretense of protecting us from the consequences of those vices?
Is it possible that all governments are merely the most successful criminal syndicates in each region, some just being less malevolent than others?
Is it possible that this system of allied and un-allied “legitimate” syndicates has existed for so long that we can not even consider how opposed to civilization it is?
I think that the industrial revolution and subsequent age, which in many ways was an equalization age, “let the cat out of the bag” (replace “cat” with indentured humans) but after a crazy, violent century of wars, fiat money and “insecurity” promulgated by the “masters,” it seems evident that the cat has been put back into the bag.
I think that only new philosophies, put into the system and given the chance to spread like virulent memes can take us back out of the aforementioned bag.

Hello U, I didn’t realize that a civilized society was based on theft. So it’s okay to use violence to take what you “need”?
As to pre-existing conditions being “covered”, how about I wreck my car and then go in and demand to get car insurance to fix it or my house is on fire and I go get fire insurance to build me a new house. That is not insurance coverage, it is theft.

Obama’s Socialist Healthcare system certainly says nobody will be left out for lack of funds or pre-existing conditions. It does not guarantee services for anyone. Ezekiel Immanuel, Rahm’s brother and Obama’s health advisor, says health services should be rationed based upon the person’s value and age. So…the elderly, handicapped, and dissident will have higher mortality rates…which will relieve the burden on Medicare and Social Security programs bankrupted by the feds after old folks paid their dues 40 or 50 years! The gov’t robbed those programs we were forced to pay for, and the Obamacare scheme is more of the same yet more!
It denies us alternatives and controls any healthcare we may or may not receive. It can literally kill us! It will gather enormous amounts of personal information and require implanting microchips that can later be used for such as financial data…aka “Mark of the Beast”! It will be used to intrude upon every part of our lives, gun rights, marital counseling, reproduction, you name it. This legislation is very similar to Adolf Hitler’s health program to handle the “useless eaters” of Nazi Germany. It is a huge power grab negating the 4th,5th, 9th, and 10th Amendments.
