russiatoday.com reports:
Professor Igor Panarin, whose book “The Crash of America” is just out, claims that by November the book will be yesterday’s news.
Panarin believes President Obama will lead his country to a breakup. Panarin compares Obama to former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev.
Panarin is quoted as saying:
Today I received another confirmation that the collapse of the dollar and the US is inevitable. Japan’s Democratic Party won the election, and I’d like to remind you that its leader [Yukio Hatoyama] has the snubbing of the dollar among his economic plans. In plainer words, he plans to transfer Japan’s monetary reserves from US dollars into another currency. The move will seriously accelerate the dollar’s exchange slump as early as this November. Disintegration will follow shortly,
He goes on to suggest that the U.S. will cease to exist by June 2010.
- There is legislation pending to give Obama the power to shut down the internet. Why?
- The police state is growing larger, becoming more federalized and becoming much more violent. Why?
- U.S. embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies; enough to last them a year. Why?
Connect the dots.

The US can not manage Afghanistan with a land mass of 652,000 sq. km. and a population of 33,600.00. The government could never hand the US population of 307,000,000. Thank God for the 2nd Amendment.
Regards
Don
You’re forgetting that the U.S. population is dependent on foreign imports, oil and trucked food, and much of it lives in cities. The government also knows where most of the gun owners live. It doesn’t have to manage everyone, just the ones in the city and key resistance in the countryside. But I think that is still too much for the gov’t to handle, which is where the snitch and ‘civilian army’ forces comes in.
Being familiar with industrial distribution and logistics, you might want to look into “JIT”. JIT stands for “just in time” and that is how most grocery stores and the big box stores are stocked. Typical JIT time is THREE WEEKS. That means when you see a delivery truck at your grocery store, it was ordered three weeks ago. Businesses in many states must pay inventory taxes on excess inventory and JIT was created to avoid these taxes.
So in the case of an emergency or disaster and the deliveries cannot get thru, the store has THREE WEEKS at most of inventory to sell. But most of the time, they will get cleaned out way before that.
Buy a GOOD sleeping bag, backpack, learn to forage (and/or steal), and learn a few different ways to sterilize water.
My retirement plan is bullets and booze.
No, putting all your money into gold coins is the best answer. Gold will be easy to carry around, and you can put them in a money belt and it will be safe.
@PStryder please make sure you drink that booze so it will be much easier to steal your bullets. Thanks!
The booze is for trade.
And don’t simply mean stockpile bullets and booze. I know MANY different very simple ways to make alcohol from raw ingredients, including cultivating yeast.
I know many ways to make various projectile and hand-held weapons.
I plan to trade the booze with the local gang of primal children for protection. ;)
All of you are CRAZY!!! The economy is bad and will likely get worse but it will eventually reset..albeit to a much lower standard of living for the US populous.
There isn’t going to be concentration camps, or cutting off of the internet etc. etc. This is ridiculous.
We’ll look back at this in a year and nothing will have come about of these WILD predictions.
@ Billy Bob: Noted.
I just got done compenting on a post from November 2008 where you said the collapse would happen in 30 days. Then there was some BS about January, and that the us would collapse by February. So. Uh. Do you ever give up? Do you ever admit you may have been wrong? Of course the US will fall, sooner or later, but screaming about it constantly till it does is just not productive. Nor does it reflect well on your character.
Anyone reading this now; skip back to this blog one year ago and see that it’s been saying *THE SAME THING FOR A YEAR* Expecting economic collapse just around the corner, dollar devaluation, and on and on and on.

I don’t suppose anyone has grown suspicious that perhaps Professor Igor Panarin, the author of these dire predictions, is simply reacting petulantly to the collapse of the USSR.
Every time I see one of these stories I ask myself am I prepared to make the most of my life if things are better than they propose, and am I prepared to make the most of my life if things are worse. The prudent thing for intelligent people seems to be to use all the insights one can possibly apply to your personal life situation to decide where your resources can best be spent in a volatile world.
This guy, Panarin, is a publicity hound/idiot who talks non-sense. He is getting a lot of media exposure because he serves the purpose of discrediting ALL who might question the fairy tales repeated by mainstream media. Because he is an idiot then all others who question the fairy tales must be idiots as well–and, hence, there is less serious consideration of ANYONE who questions the consensus.
Lol! There is a lot that can be learned from USSR’s collapse. I find that some of it is surprisingly relevant to the US today. For example, consider Orlov’s writing about the “Five Stages of Collapse” in USSR (which gets NO media exposure): http://energybulletin.net/node/47157
Most people will never look beyond the surface of the currently prevailing fairy tales. It takes too much effort. It’s easier to go along to get along.
Why did most Jews in Germany 1933 stay? While they could have read Mein Kampf and seen what was coming, they didn’t. Why? Why waste time reading Mein Kampf, a book written by an idiot? Why look beyond fairy tales repeated to each other–Hitler’s an idiot and things couldn’t be all that bad. Right? About 7% did leave early: 38,000 out of 523,000. More left after 1938. What did the leavers know that the stayers did not? Did those who left have all the facts? At some price, almost all could have left. Obama is not Hitler, but he did promise “change” and things are much, much worse than is generally being reported. Is it useful to ponder what changes might be coming? Even in the absence of sufficient factual evidence, some explanations will make more sense than others. Inquiring minds do not accept mainstream fairy tales just because they are being repeated endlessly.
