Via rawstory.com:
A man in the northern California city of San Jose died after being jolted with a Taser, police said Thursday, apparently the sixth such death since the department began using the stun guns in 2004.
Lisa Fernandez reports:
Relatives on Friday identified the man as 28-year-old Richard Lua. They say he was simply trying to enter his home Wednesday about 10:24 p.m. in the 2200 block of Amador Drive when he was shocked by San Jose police with the stun gun.
The criminals: “officers” Eric Bachmann and Patrick Lynch.

Thank you for posting this story on your site. Richard Lua is the brother of my nephew Jose Lua. The family would like all readers to pray for the situation, and to pray that Justice will prevail and that all those who had a hand in Richards unnecessary death be held accountable. The San Jose Police Dept. now changes their story from the original press release to say, “after attempting to go for their guns”. Never prior did they make that statement. This is very hurtful to the family as we know Richard would have NEVER even resisted arrest. Please know that WE ARE filing a lawsuit against all the real criminals. Richard should have never been killed. And the police have yet to even say why he was being pursued in the first place? Were they just looking for another innocent victim to take down?
Sincerely,

I’m Sorry for you, Names Chris Fowler I lived in Sanjose At the woods apartments back in 1999 I was arrested while studying for a psych final by Sanjose pd for making bombs that were no where to be found. Till this day I have an arrest record and cant get a decent job because SJ refused me to clear my name from Ferdin 2261. that was 11 years ago. I would venture to bet these crimenals officers were taught by him in one way or another as with all power mongers these cops get it in there heads that they are the law and not agents of it. Im sorry to say but cops to lie and will. Not only did they arrest me but broke into my home and beat me near to death for trying to file chrges against them, please be careful and dont expect SJPD to do anything against themselves. Again for your loss I am truely sorry as it could of been my fate as well.
Chris Fowler
is this THE SAME chris from hollister??
[...] were armed at the time police used this high level of force against them. And the fact that five six people have died after San Jose police used their tasers in the four year period 2004-2008 since 2004 suggests a [...]
I am sorry for the loss of Richard. But did it occur to you that he died from the meth that he had in his system? Nobody is talking about that…you are saying that the SJPD never mentioned that he tried to grab a gun (which they have a legal right to withhold information). What about the massive amount of drugs he had that according to the coroner is what caused his death?
People forget that police officers are here to protect us. I am sure Richard was a good man in your eyes. But someone who resists arrest and consumes massive amount of drugs is someone who I want to be protected from.
Eric and Patrick are my heroes.
Good luck with your lawsuit, you will probably just get a settlement out of it because it would be cheaper for the City to settle instead of fighting it. But it does not mean they are admitting guilt. Remember, no amount of money can bring Richard back.
