Speaking on meet the press two days ago, Powell officially endorsed Obama and also made the following statement:
“The problems will always be there and there’s going to be a crisis which will come along on the 21st, 22nd of January that we don’t even know about right now.
Sounds like he knows.
What this OBVIOUSLY means is that Obama is going to have his hands full “first crack out of the bag”, as my mother used to say (immediately after inauguration day). That means the first pitch in a game of baseball, or cricket, as in “lets get cracking, lads”.
If my mother were to say that nowadays, you guys would immediately say, “She’s telling us there’s going to be a major crack forming in the earth’s crust, generated by HAARP, as an excuse to implement martial law”, except you’d probably spell it “marshall law”. Right? Am I right?.

Thats funny, I’m of the opinion that those who hate the alleged ‘fear mongers’ are those most afraid themselves.
Powell explicitly stated that there will be a crisis that we currently have little knowledge of.
The ambiguity of the crisis is plausable but the certainty of the invevitability of the aforementioned crisis should be alarming to even the more rigorous and uncompromising skeptic.

I think Powell’s statement was meant in a generalized way; He’s just saying that Obama will face certain calamities (which he no doubt will). He is just using the dates in January as examples.

I called the white house yesterday, dept of military and asked about it.
at first he said he knew nothing about it. then he all of a sudden said that there is always a crisis right after an inauguration and that they don’t know what it will be but that there will be a crisis.
Is that true?
He referred to kennedy’s inaug
and the one (Bush? ) where the navy ship was blown up (some terrorists pulled up next to a ship)
So he assured me there would be one but they did not know where or what.

well, it’s 5:30 pm here in California and nothing yet. One question, why would someone like Colin Powell, highly repected, highly articulate go on “record” in front of the whole world and annouce something this big and yet, nothing has happned though it may still be early, but more importantly, why isn’t the mainstream news covering this alleged “crisis?”
