Just came across this guy – http://www.offinia.com – listing valid ways to get out of jury duty. It might be “unconstitutional” but it can’t help to know!! ;-)
Jurys are a farse.
Would you allow a jury to decide your medical outcome, or would you leave that to experts?
Would you allow a jury to decide how to fix your car, or would you leave that to experts?
People picked off the street are not qualified to interpret the law.
If the threshhold to convict is beyond any reasonalbe doubt, then a panel of judges should decide, not 12 morons with biases , wandering minds, drug withdrawals, or mental problems.
Ditto for civil cases. Even MORE urgent for civil cases.
Jurys have no right to sit on a friggin civil court case whatsoever.
